A Tribute 2 Hunger-excellent!
celebrating my partial for some foods as well as manner of being-
Donna
Forgiveness is sweet
I choose it
Chocolate cake
Luscious as it is
Tastes marvelous
Served with a dash
Of forgiveness
So does fried fresh fish
And roasted plantain
Forgiveness is sweet
Laced in my iced cool drink
Of lemongrass tea
Stirred with brown sugar
Sipped in the shade of the coconut tree
In my backyard
Forgiveness is sweet
In the early hours of the morning
The choice I made
Pulled dark weight off my back
And dropped on the ground
And light I stepped
Into the glory of a new day
Forgiven.
