Genesis
І
The unsteady familiar rhythm of known voices
Like some haunting siren song suffocates
My thoughts. Deep within the darkness of
The cave lies a punctured genesis.
With two voices piercing each other
I watched the changing scenes
And, in pure macho fashion, the rib was silenced.
Fragile
A touch of generous pessimism
On a fragile surface
Thaws an over-worked defence.
The mouth that ate itself in sweet sorrow
Told no tales.
Unaware feet sweep late night grass
And dung—
It is judgment day, and the sentence says—
Auto-flagellation.
Who can tell of the world
That lies beneath her savage beauty ?

Very impressive work, Charles, I applaud you.

Deep lines! You got me at it, now that without the fiery politics we savour the profundities of very philosophical moments of the heart and mind! We need more!
